We have built twelve side-by-side runs within a covered 30'x 60' cement-floored pole building. Each run is 20' and terminates in a 5'x5' enclosed dog house lined with rubber matting for softness that can be vented during the hot summer days. The runs are seperated by a 32" high cement block wall topped with heavy-duty chain link. The kennels are open and airy yet will allow each dog to have his/her needed privacy. A remotely located Silver Eagle 4.0 GPM @3000 psi stainless steel pressure washer will provide 260 degree hot water to disinfect the runs. Pressurized quick connects, located in each run, will facilitate twice daily washing. Our dogs are fed freechoice (feed buckets always kept full) and Lixits provide a constant source of clean cool water in each run. The entire 1800 sq. ft. of building is enclosed in no-seeum screening to keep all insects away from the dogs. Overhead fans provide a steady breeze when there is none. There are two enclosed exercise areas attached to the kennel. A 50' x 100' for the larger dogs and a 20' x 30' for our smaller friends. The entire three acres is also fenced for the dogs safety because this is a rural part of Florida and wildlife abounds. We also have a 1/2 acre pond that the dogs can use if any of them get up the nerve to take the plunge.
